About us

We are very glad to see you on pages of kennel’s “Maulana” site. Maulana means “master”, “teacher”. It’s swahili language.
Master is name of our Rhodesian ridgeback. The kennel is called in honor of this dog.
Kennel “Maulana” has registered on “RKF-FCI” since autumn of 2005. It’s part of National Club of Breed.
Acquaintance with breed Rhodesian ridgeback for our family was in 1998.

We already had a dog at this moment. It was chocolate champion of Russia Labrador Zagreis Nord (Hardy). We actively visited dog shows. So, on one of them we have seen ridgeback first time. For ourselves we have decided that this beautiful, graceful and serious dog will be our.
And in 1999, in our house there is a Master, imported from the Swedish Kennel «Lovfallan».

Master has brought a variety in our life. It became clear, that this two dogs – labrador and ridgeback — absolutely different dogs, which have different temperament and character. And it’s wonderful, because they complete each other!
We have started to take our dogs in travel and campaigns, on hunting. Master became Multi- and Interchampion when he took part in dog shows.

Master and Hardy

Masters children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Multi Winners, Multi Champions and winners dog show of the highest rank. More information about the descendants of the Master can be found on our website.

Of course, over the years I have gained interest dating in rr world, both in Russia and abroad.
